Who makes up our team?

We currently have 6 Physician Assistants, 1 Family Nurse Practitioner, and 1 medical assistant. Our medical supervisor is a local Houston Internal medicine board certified Physician.

What is an advanced practice provider?

A Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner are offered referred to as Advanced Practice Providers. Both of these healthcare professionals are trained to assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose disease, prescribe medications and devise treatment plans. An average of 7-8 years of higher education including a masters degree are required.


What are Home Sweet Health’s COVID-19 protocols for in-home visits?

Since we will continue to do in-home visits, safety is our priority. As providers seeing multiple patients, we will continue to wear masks in the home and take any precautions necessary. If you are not comfortable with in-home visits at this time we also provide telehealth appointment options.

What do I need to do before my appointment?

Please complete your intake forms sent via email prior to your visit. This will help your healthcare provider plan for your appointment and arrive fully prepared to care for you in the comfort and convenience of your home. These forms will be securely emailed to you for completion.

How do I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment visit our website and click the booking button in the top right corner of the screen. Select a virtual consulting visit or input your zip code to check that we provide in-home services in your area. Find the appointment type you are looking for and a time that works best for you. You will then be prompted to create a patient profile. If you do not see what you are looking for feel free to call or text our main line.

How do I know if I need an in-home appointment vs. a virtual appointment?

Virtual vs at-home appointments differentiate depending on your needs. Any time an examination, test, injection, or procedure is needed, then an in-home appointment will need to be scheduled. Virtual consultation are appointments reserved for specific discussion topics listed on the booking page. If you are unsure which appointment type is best for you, feel free to call or text us.

What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?

As a courtesy to our providers, we kindly ask that you give at least at 24 hour notice before cancelling your appointment. Changing the time of your appointment can be done through the confirmation email sent to you or by calling or texting our number.

What does a sick visit appointment entail?

A sick visit is for any type of illness that needs to be diagnosed and treated. A lot of our sick visits entail fever, cough, throat, or sinus issues.

Can I book multiple people in my family for one appointment?

Yes, in fact we encourage this. If you have multiple people in your family feeling under the weather we are happy to see you all at the same appointment. When creating your patient profile you can add additional family members along with their information.
Please let our providers know before by filling out “Reason for Visit” section with the full name of each patient being seen or call/text us beforehand.


How is HSH different from other practices?

Home Sweet Health is an advanced practice on wheels. With multiple advanced practice providers, we are passionate and able to serve our local community. The principle of our founding is that we strive to make medical care the most convenient and accessible it can be. We are timely, meticulous, and attentive to any treatments or follow up care needed. We are grateful to continue to grow and provide care to our friends and neighbors.

Can HSH become my PCP?

Though we are not a primary care provider, we are happy to provide multiple primary care services. When making a trip to the doctor does not seem plausible, we are here to help. We also have a vast referral network and can provide information about different primary care practices we admire around Houston.

Does Home Sweet Health offer pediatric services?

Yes we do. Since most of our providers have special training in pediatrics, we feel confident in our pediatric services and enjoy seeing children regularly. Two years and younger is typically referred to the pediatrician for further evaluation.

Can Home Sweet Health providers write prescriptions?

All of our providers are able to write prescriptions when necessary. Whether this be in-home visits or telehealth, we are able to send in prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy almost immediately.

What is virtual consulting?

Our advanced practice providers have specialized training in a wide variety of medical disciplines and can offer professional support and resources for our patients. Specialized areas include women’s health, teen wellness, Covid-19 consultations, lifestyle medicine coaching, referral services, post-discharge education, oncology support and much more. What happens if I need to go to the hospital?

All emergency medical conditions with be referred to the nearest emergency center for further evaluation. We treat many minor care medical issues and make sure to triage urgent medical needs outside our scope of practice and refer appropriately.

Does Home Sweet Health provide emergency medical care?

No. Any medical issue that is emergent or requires immediate medical attention will need to be seen at the local urgent care center or emergency room.

Insurance and Billing

Does Home Sweet Health accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance at this time. We are, however, happy to provide a receipt of medical services when requested.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Venmo, and credit card payment at the time services are rendered.

When is payment due and how do I make a payment?

Payment is due at the time of the appointment. Depending on how you would like to pay, we will accommodate.
